Sprint recently announced that its network in Chicago received shared 1st place rankings for overall performance, network reliability, call performance and text performance, according to an independent third-party report.
"Our Chicago network gets better every day as we work to deliver the consistent reliability, capacity, and speed that our customers demand,” said Jim Mills, Sprint president of Illinois and Wisconsin. “We’re pleased with these latest results for overall performance, and we’re laser-focused on keeping our #1 status as we further invest in our Chicago network.”
In addition to deploying some of the most advanced technologies in wireless, Sprint has relentlessly focused on expanding and fine-tuning the network in Chicago. In the past year, the company added new cell sites, increased its coverage and capacity, and systematically optimized each cell site to maximize performance. Sprint also improved service and upgraded the wireless systems at Chicago Transit Authority, O’Hare Airport, Soldier Field and United Center.
